Jewelry care
Gold care
Remove jewelry before swimming or using household chemicals. Wipe with a soft cloth. Have worn plating and loose settings inspected by a jeweler.
Silver care
Use a silver Polishing cloth. Ask about a suitable method for plated jewelry or pieces with gemstones. Abrasive pastes may damage the surface.
Diamond care
Oil and dirt reduce brilliance. Warm soapy water and a soft brush suit securely set diamonds. Ask a jeweler how to clean treated stones.
Jewelry storage
Keep pieces separately in soft pouches or compartments. Fasten chains before storing them. Other gemstones and metal parts can scratch a neighboring piece.
Cleaning and inspection
If a stone moves or a clasp is damaged, postpone home Cleaning. Attach photos to a service request; method, cost and timing are agreed before work.
Silver tarnish
Silver can tarnish over time. Tarnish alone does not establish its fineness. Start with a suitable cloth and request professional help for intricate surfaces.
Other gemstone care
Pearls and sensitive gems need individual care. Put jewelry on after cosmetics and perfume. Confirm the gemstone and its treatment before choosing cleaners or ultrasound.
